NL Awards

Time to hand out the NL Awards of the week. First up the team of the week is the St. Louis Cardinals they are 8-2 in their last 10 and have won 4 straight. They hold a 2 game lead over Cincy. They lead the league in runs scored, batting average, and on base percentage. They also hold greatest run differential with a +38. The position player of the week is Ryan Howard. He batted .348 with 3 HR and 8 RBI this week. He now leads the National League with 27 RBI. The pitcher of the week is Roy Halladay he had two starts this week. He went 8.2 and 9.0 innings in these two starts. Combined he gave up 12 hits 2 runs and struck out 22. He is now 4-1 with a 2.14 ERA. Those are my NL awards of the week.
