What is an inside the park homerun
Today I got a quick blog about something that has been bothering me. After I got good news as well. What is an inside the park homerun. Come on I've seen four this year and all should have been big fat errors. I mean if a guy misses a routine grounder and it rolls to the wall for a "homer". That's a single and a three base error. Not a homer. Another guy over the weekend missed a ball in left a fly ball and the batter was given a homer after he scooted on around on the botched ball. It's a joke they need to call it right or don't call it at all. I feel from now on if a player goes all the way around the outfielder better have not missed a routine play and if he did give the batter the RBI but not the homer. I feel like this should go with out saying. Finally, the webcam is working again. That means a new video blog is coming your way on Wednesday. I hope you check it out on Youtube under Doscinco132. Thanks everyone for reading. I'm Out!

Hall of Fame Game gets big thumbs up!
Today for the second year in a row I went to the Hall of Fame Game at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown. It is truly a great event. It begins with a parade down the streets of Cooperstown where Hall of Famers and other corporate sponsors wave and pay homage to the beautiful community. After this four players are selected to play in a hitting challenge. This was won by Dmitri Young this year. Then the game. The game is a combination of former players, hall of famers and even two all-stars from a traveling Army team. The game brings all aspects of the game together. Merging generations of players and skills. One of the best moments today was when Jim Rice former Red Sock faced off against former Yankee Goose Gossage. Two former enemies playing together for fun truly remarkable. That's all on that. Tomorrow I will tell you why Rory is better than Tiger was in his career. Thanks for reading. I'm Out!

Wrap-up of the Rangers and Yankees
The Yankees have just finished up a three game series with the AL West Leaders the Texas Rangers. The Yankees swept the Rangers finishing up their home-stand at 6-4. Over the three games the Yankees out scored the Rangers 27-10. Tuesday the Yankees won 12-4 behind big nights from the whole Yankee lineup and CC Sabathia. One of the announcers said he didn't have his best stuff. But I feel he did he just thew more hitable pitches so they could get outs. Swisher added a home run and Nunez made his impact felt with the first RBI of the game on a single in the second. CC moved to 8-4. Game 2 featured Nova vs. Holland. Nova struggled early giving up 4 runs in the first 5 innings. He went 6.2 before Ayala got out of a 7th on a play at the plate when Grandy threw out Torrealba at home on good block by Cervelli. Nova is now 6-4 but Tex was big with a HR from each side of plate. That was his 11th time doing that tying Chilli Davis and Eddie Murray for the most times in ML history. Yanks went out to win 12-4 again. Today professional minor leaguer Brian Gordon made his first ML start and threw to the tune of 5.2 giving up 2 ER, 3BB, and 3K. He got a no decision. Yankee offense went quiet only scoring 2 runs in regulation. Cory Wade picked up the win throwing a perfect 11 and 12 then defensive upgrade Brett Gardner ended it in the 12th on a walk-off single scoring Granderson. The Yankees will play in Chicago this weekend against the Cubs. Before I go my boy Beau Hossler a 16 year old is +4 at the US Open where Rory McIlroy is in the lead. Thanks for reading. I'm Out!

Yankee Update
Today I will update all of you on many things going on in the Yankee team. Derek Jeter will be going to the DL after much contention with Cashman with a calf strain. This will be his first DL stint since 2003. Ramiro Pena will be called up to be a back-up infielder as Eduardo Nunez will be starting. When asked about the catching situation Cashman said that Martin is not going to the DL and then called out Posada on his motivation to serve as a back up catcher. He said he will call up Montero before he has Posada catch. Hughes made his second rehab start and could be back in the next few weeks maybe in the bullpen. Cashman also said he will pursue a bullpen guy or another big name in a trade before the deadline because he does not feel that the answer is in the minors. Those were the main things he spoke of he also said that either Hector Noesi or Phelps will make a start in Bartolo's spot on Thursday. Tonight the Yanks will give Ogando his first loss and CC will pick up number 8. I don't know I'm feeling a Grandy Man homer. Thanks for reading. I'm Out!

Lebron and Big Papi
Today I will discuss Lebron and Big Papi. First up LeBron good game last night you played well even though shots were not falling. 9 Rebounds and 7 assists is nothing to sneeze at. The media needs to layoff. He had a rough game but still played well to keep his team in the game look for him to come out big in game 5. Heat will win 5 and clinch the title at home. I just hate how the media is treating him. He was a great facilitator and leader. Head up James your still the best player in the series. Now to Big Papi. Last night Papi hit a two run homer and right when he hit it he looked and flipped his bat. Girardi was not impressed. I support Girardi in this one. Papi should feel mad cool for hit a homer off of a rookie and then showing him up like a true veteran. I feel this is bad for the game and a fine should be coming Papi's way. I hope first time Papi is up AJ goes up and in on him. Papi better be wearing 2 helmets tonight. Okay all for today. Thanks for reading. I'm Out!

Controversy in the American Pasttime
Over the past view weeks two main controversies have arisen in the game of baseball. The first involves my boy Bartolo Colon. Colon has revived his career after a surgery in Puerto Rico where he had stem cells injected into his rotator cuff and other shoulder ligaments to jump start his career. The surgery is being discussed whether he should be punished for it or not. I feel that as long no true steroids or enhancers were put into his body is he is all good. No suspension should come from this. I mean stem cells are not even banned and players such as Barry Bonds and A-Rod were never suspended and they actually took steroids. Nothing should be done but baseball should look into other procedures that are occurring in other countries. Before my second talk I just want to remind you of the fan question I will discuss on Thursday. Who is the best double play combo in MLB history? Leave answers as comments on the blog or the facebook site. Now onto the last topic. Should rules be put into place to protect catchers at the plate. I feel to protect catchers set up a collision zone or an arc like in the NBA. The rules would be simple if the player is on the arc or in the collision zone he is fair game for a railroad or a take out. If a catcher is hit outside the zone he will be automatically out. Repeat offenders will be subject to fines and suspensions. By implementing these rules the play can still be exciting but the catcher can also avoid blindsided hits. Tomorrow I will break down game 1 and grill Jim Tressel on his resignation.

Memorial Weekend the Best
What a weekend of sports this has been and will be. First up I have decided to can the MLB awards of the week. A new feature will be introduced later. First lets talk about yesterday baseball was the game to watch. 4 extra inning games and 5 walk-offs. These walk-offs ranged from the greatest closer giving it up in the 12th, to the a veteran in Atlanta collecting his 12th career walk-off, to a pinch hit suicide squeeze walk-off from the Brew Crew. Another bright note yesterday was seen in Minnesota where spot starter Anthony Swarzack threw 8 innings giving up 1 hit. Today the focus is shifted to Auto racing. The 100th Indy 500 ended with a rookie running into the wall on the last turn and Dan Wheldon stealing the win away from him. Heartbreaking loss for the 23 year old. Later NASCAR will be at Charlotte with the Coke 600. Carl Edwards looks to become the third driver to win both the All-Star race and the Coke 600 in the same year. Finally tomorrow we will see the NCAA crown a lacrosse champion as Virginia takes on Maryland in Baltimore tomorrow afternoon. This is a great weekend for sports fans. The new feature I will introduce is a fan post poll question. Each question will be given and then discussed three days after the post. Just post your thoughts on the page and I will discuss your answers. The first question is Who are the best double play combo in baseball history? Post your answers and I will discuss answers on Wednesday. Tomorrow I will discuss two topics being discussed in baseball. Stem cell injections and new rules to protect catchers. Thanks for reading. Yankees and the Playoffs
Today the Yankees beat the Jays 7-3 in the Bronx. The offense started clicking again led by 2 HRs and 4 RBIs from veteran righty Andruw Jones. Freddy Garcia pitched 6.1 giving up 8 hits and 3 ER. The bullpen of Chamberlain, Robertson, and Rivera shut it down afterwards. Mariano made his 1000 appearance with the Yanks today in the non save oppurtunity. The bullpen has been the strength and will need to continue with news after the game of Phil Hughes and Rafeal Soriano. Hughes' DL stint will be extended to 60 days with his circulatory problems. Soriano has been diagnosed by Dr. James Andrews with an inflamed ligament in his elbow. He has been told to rest for 2 weeks before taking part in a month long pitching program. GM Brian Cashman says he could face batters again in 4-6 weeks. When he comes back he will probably make and appearance or two at the minor league level first. The other news is the Thunder and the Mavs. The Mavs can clinch tonight against the Thunder. I feel they will. Westbrook and Durant aren't playing together and the Thunder have no leadership. For the Thunder to be better look for them in the offseason to make a run at Chris Paul. He would fit in with their system and would be like a Jason Kidd to them. The Mavs will go to the championship series. Thanks for reading leave me questions. I'm Out!

Sports from the weekend and today
Today will be a review and looking forward of sports for this week. Today the French Open began. I am gonna give the tourney some love because tennis is way cooler than golf. I mean at least for tennis you have to be fit. Golfers can be fat and old and still get the job done. Tennis you got to be lean, mean, and agile. I hope to see Djokovic win the tourney he is a good guy and is hitting the prime of his career. Tonight the NBA playoffs continue with the Mavs taking on the Thunder. If the Thunder can get Durant and Westbrook going the Thunder will win easily. The Thunder are a good young team that are maturing at a quick rate. This team could win the championship. Thats all for tonight. I'm Out !

Tuesday in the Sports World
Breaking News in the Sports World. Hall of Fame baseball player Harmon Killibrew has died at age 74. He died after battling esophageal cancer. Time to begin grilling. I got two topics for today. First up the Western Conference Finals start tonight. Kevin Durant and the Thunder travel to Dallas to take Dirk and the Mavs. This series is basically a battle of experience vs. age. Neither team has true playoff experience and the Thunder are much younger. If Durant gets hot and Westbrook plays like Rondo instead of Kobe the Thunder will win. I got Dallas in game 1 due to tight defense. What has happened to the Yankees? The Yankees have lost 6 straight and have dropped 4 games behind the Tampa Bay Rays. With the Posada drama enveloping the team I blame Brian Cashman. Even though he made some big decisions in the offseason he did not make a big move to get a big time player. I blame all of the Posada drama on him. Posada just wanted to sit and then Cashman pulled a Steinbrenner and overreacted. If the Yankees are gonna turn it around a move must be made and Posada must stay. That is all for today. I'm Out!

AL Awards
Time for the Awards of the week. First up the AL team of the week is the Detroit Tigers. They are 9-1 in their last 10. Winners of 7 in a row. Batting .282 during the streak finding much of the good from pitching. Position player of the week is Jose Bautista. The past week he batted .360 with 4 HR and 7 RBI he also drew 5 BB. Now the Pitcher of the week is Josh Beckett he gave up no runs all week in 13 innings giving up 10 hits and striking out 14. Those are my AL awards, tomorrow I will give you a break down of the NBA action along with my NL awards. Thanks for reading I'm Out!

Blog Time fools.
Sorry I haven't been blogging lately but I'm back. First up some baseball my boy Keith wanted the Braves as the best team in the NL. Sorry Keith but the Phillies are just better straight up. That's all I am saying about Keith. Now onto a question that my Uncle Jim asked me. Is Andrew McCutchen the best CF in baseball today? I gotta say yeah he is. He can hit better than most. His defense is ridiulous and his arm is crazy good. But that all does not add up to his energy. The guy is a freak of an athlete. With the decline of outfielders Andrew is a rare breed that is great for the game today. Quick grill on Barea. JJ Barea has accepted the apology after Bynum's hissy fit foul. Barea I am dissapointed in you. Don't accept it. He just saying because he is being punished and fined. Bynum is a terrible athlete and has even worse sportsmanship. The guy is a joke. If Bynum would've gotten no fine or suspension he wouldn't of said sorry. Take it back Barea and go after him. Tonights action I got Heat over Celtics, Yanks over Royals, and Grizz over Thunder. Thanks for reading. I'm Out!

AL Awards
Today is Saturday, that means its time to hand out the AL Awards. The best team of the week in the AL is the Cleveland Indians. They are 5-2 in their last 7. They are first in the AL central holding a 4.5 game lead of the Royals. They cuurently have the best record in the AL. They look to keep it going against the Angels, Rays, and Mariners this week. The positon player of the week is Curtis Granderson. Over the past 7 days, Curtis batted .269 with 3 HR, 7 RBI and 4 BB. He now leads the AL with 10 homers. Finally the pitcher of the week. We have a new pitcher this week and it is the Rays James Shields. Over the past 7 days James has thrown 15.1 giving up 9 hits and 2 ER. He struck out 17 and walked 4. He is now 3-1 with a 2.01 ERA and 44 Ks. Those are my AL Awards for the week. NL Awards tomorrow. I'm Out!

Friday's Action
Tonight I'm gonna give you some headlines for Friday and tell you the three games I'm gonna watch. First up Lamar Odom will start tonight for the Lakers tonight in place of Ron Artest. Ron is serving a one game suspension for a flagrant foul on JJ Barea. Lamar will start on Dirk tonight. Brett Favre reportedly would like to coach in the NFL sometime. Teams will not take him as they feel putting him on the sideline will make him want to go back out and throw the pigskin some more. Who knows if he is telling the truth anyway. Last headline is that Tiger Woods will resume play at the Players Championship. No one actually cares Tiger because your not good any more and your a terrible person. Figure out your golf swing and start playing better so at least I only have to dis your life choices not just your joke of a golf game. Tonight we got game 3 of the Bulls and the Hawks, I got the Hawks winning at home. Game 3 in Dallas as well becomes the most important game in Lakers history in the whole Phil Jackson Era. If Dallas wins the Lakers could be done and Phil Jackson could be heading for the old folks home. Enjoy the pudding and bingo Phil your out bro. Fianlly the Yankess travel to Texas. Nova vs. Harrison. Jeter and A-Rod are both expected to return tonight. The Yankees look to end their 3 game losing streak. AL Awards tomorrow. I'm Out!

Three topics.
Tonight I an going to break down three main topics. The no-hitter, the Heat, and the Thunder. Last night Francisco Liriano threw a no-hitter last night against the White Sox. The Twins won 1-0 while Liriano walked 6 and struck out 2. Some question if this was an impressive feat. I say of course this is a good feat. Liriano came into this game with a plus 9 ERA and possibly losing his starting job. By pitching this is spot is solidified. The Heat have taken a 2-0 lead over the Celtics. I feel the Big 3 are now the Old 3 in Boston. The window has shut just like with the Spurs. This team will be swept by the Heat and major changes will be made in the offseason. Finally the Thunder have tied back up the series with Memphis. This team is in a lot better shape now with Durant limiting shots and getting Perkins and Ibaka involved. The other way the Thunder can win is by limiting Westbrook's shots and stepping up the D. Defense wins championships Durant. Ball till you fall. That is all I got for tonight. I'm Out!

NL Awards
Time to hand out the NL Awards of the week. First up the team of the week is the St. Louis Cardinals they are 8-2 in their last 10 and have won 4 straight. They hold a 2 game lead over Cincy. They lead the league in runs scored, batting average, and on base percentage. They also hold greatest run differential with a +38. The position player of the week is Ryan Howard. He batted .348 with 3 HR and 8 RBI this week. He now leads the National League with 27 RBI. The pitcher of the week is Roy Halladay he had two starts this week. He went 8.2 and 9.0 innings in these two starts. Combined he gave up 12 hits 2 runs and struck out 22. He is now 4-1 with a 2.14 ERA. Those are my NL awards of the week. Blog this week will focus on each nights action. Thanks for reading. I'm Out!

AL Awards Time
Its that time of the week again. Time to hand out the AL Awards. First up the team of the week is the Tampa Bay Rays. They are in 2nd place in AL East after getting off to a slow start. They are 7-3 in their last 10. They have cut the Yankees AL East lead to 1 game. They draw a tough matchup against Jered Weaver tomorrow. The postion player of the week is outfielder/infielder Ben Zobrist of the Rays he led the team with a .480 avg, 4 HR, and 18 RBI. In a double header against the Twins he had a total of 10 RBI's a clear lock for player of the week. Pitcher of the week for the 2nd straight week is Jered Weaver of the Angels. This week he made 1 start. He through a complete game gave up 7 hits no runs and struck out 10. He now is 6-0 with a 0.99 ERA and 49 K's. He will face the Rays tomorrow. Tomorrow I will give out the NL Awards. Quick question time. Sam the NBA draft occurs at the end of June, and the reason quarterbacks are a bad idea to draft is because quarterback is the toughest position to transition to in the NFL. Thanks for reading. Ask me questions. I'm Out!

Over View
Tonight I'm gonna give you a run down of the sports world. I got three main stories then we will talk games and I will give you picks. The NFL allowed players back into facilities today. The lockout is over for now. Players were allowed to workout, rehab, and get treatment. The owners and coaches can now meet with players to hand out playbooks and game film. This is the first sign of work stoppage ending. Early next weeks free agency and transactions will also be available. In baseball news Ozzie Guillen has been suspended by the MLB for tweeting following his ejection on Monday. He will serve a 2 game suspension. The rule says no use of social media 30 minutes prior to the game. Ozzie will more than likely appeal his suspension. Final story is quick. Heat coach Erik Spolestra says Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem will not play in the next series and will likely miss the whole playoffs. Now to tonight's action. I got two games for you. Yankees over Toronto with Garcia on the mound. Memphis over San Antonio tonight to clinch the series look for the Zach Randolph to come up big. Thanks for reading. I'm Out!!!

NFL Draft
Tomorrow the longest three days in football will begin, the NFL draft. Today I'm gonna give you all a sneak peak of my thoughts about the draft and the draftees. The first pick should be two players. Either Patrick Peterson the saftey or Marcell Dareus the D-lineman. With either of these picks the Panthers will not be scrutinized and will improve their team instantly. Best player in the draft is Patrick Peterson. He will be a top 5 pick. My biggest bust will be Ryan Mallet. To me this guy is a second rounder that is a good athlete but has some serious character issues. I see this guy ending up like Kyle Orton. A big name out of college but then a huge dissapointment in the NFL. My biggest risk has to be all quarterbacks. If a quarterback is taken in round 1 it is a mistake. There is one quarterback that could play in the NFL and he is still playing for Stanford this year. Finally my under the radar player is Mark Ingram the running back. He is a former Heisman winner that no one is even talking about. This guy can get it done and will get it done for a very lucky team that will get him. Tonight in the NBA I got Miami over Philly, Memphis over San Antonio, and Denver of Ok City. Let's see if I'm right. No blog tomorrow night but Friday I will discuss NBA, MLB, and the draft. Thanks for reading leave questions. I'm Out!

NBA Playoffs
So over the weekend we saw some crazy things. Derek Rose going cold and the Pacers win series at 3-1. We saw a unsung superstar in Brandon Roy go big and tie up the series 2-2 with the Mavs. We saw the Heat choke late like its their job. Atlanta continues to exploit the three-point game of Orlando to go up 3-1. Durant and Russell team up and go up 3-0 on Denver. New Orleans shocks the world by tying up with the Lakers. The Grizz go up 2-1 on the Spurs, and Boston advances behind Ray Allen's hot shooting. The only reason the Knicks lost was because of no Chauncey. If Chauncey plays this series is more competitive. With him out the ball handling was non existent at times. So how will the rest of these series finish. Rose and the Bulls win game 5 and move on. The Heat will go home and blow out the 76ers and move on. Roy needs to keep it going and win game 5 if they lose game 5 the Mavs will win the series. Atlanta will win in 5. Denver will win one becasue they are to good at home but will lose in 5. New Orleans needs to win game 5 in LA to pose a threat. Game 4 between the Grizz and the Spurs is also big. If the Grizz win game 4. then all they have to do is win game 6 at home to move on. That's how I think the playoffs will shake out. No blog tomorrow night but Wednesday I will give you my 1st round mock NFL draft. Thanks for reading leave me questions about the draft or the playoffs. Check out the Yankees tonight they are at home against the White Sox. My boy AJ Burnett is on the mound. I'm Out!

NL Awards
Tonight I will be handing out the NL Awards of the week. First up the best team this past week goes to the Florida Marlins. The Marlins have gone 8-2 in their last 10 cutting the NL East lead to a 1.5 games. This team will look to keep it going as they take on the Dodgers, before taveling to Cincy for a weekend series. The NL Position player of the week is Matt Kemp of the Dodgers. He is currently on a 22 game hit streak with a .402 avg with 5 HR and 18 RBI. He will play the Marlins this week as he looks to continue his streak. If this streak is still continuing he will be my player again next week. Final award is pitcher of the week. The pitcher of the week is Josh Johnson. He has been the most important part of the Marlins hot streak. This year he is 3-0 with a 1.06 ERA with 33 Ks and a 0.65 WHIP. That is the best in baseball. Tomorrow I will break down the NBA playoffs and tell you why the most important superstar for the Knicks only played game 1. Also I will tell you what the Grizzilies have to do to finish off the Spurs. Hope you check it out. Thanks for reading. I'm Out!

AL Awards
Hey everybody tonight we have a quick blog to hand out the AL awards. First up we have the Best Team of the AL Award. The best team in the AL this week is the Los Angeles Angels of Aneheim. They are cuurently 7-3 in their last 10 with the true strength of their team coming from pitching. The Angels have the second best ERA in the bigs at 2.88, and actually lead the bigs in batting average against .212 and quality starts with 16. This week they will finish a homestand with Boston and Oakland before going to Tampa next weekend. Next up we have the best postion player of the week. This award goes to the Texas Rangers Adrian Beltre. Over the past week Beltre has been the hottest and most productive player. He batted .375 with 3 homers and 9 RBIs. He will look to continue his hot streak this week. Now for the final award the best pitcher goes to the Angels Jered Weaver. Weaver threw nine innings this week with a 1.00 ERA and 8 K's. He is now 5-0 with a 1.23 ERA and 39 Ks. He looks to exploit poor batting as he will face the A's this week. Tomorrow I will hand out the NL awards, and on Monday I will do a wrap-up of the sports weekend. Thanks and leave me questions. I'm Out!

Friday night sports
Tonight is dedicated to the three NBA games. First up the Knicks and the Celtics. Anthony looks to give them a home win. Stoudemire will play and Billups is out. If the Knicks are gonna they need to get out and run and make the Celtics feel uncomfortable. If the Celtics are gonna win they must hold the Knicks under 100. In game 2 I got the Hawks over the Magic with Crawford and Johnson having big series. The only way the Magic win is if they can some how stop these two big scorers. In the final game Hornets will beat the Lakers at home with Chris Paul putting up Game 1 numbers and Kobe struggling from the field as he did in game 2. Tomorrow I will hand out AL player of the week awards and team awards. Sorry it wasn't long but I just wanted to get my picks in for the night. Oh yeah, the Yankees are rained out so lock in and watch some NBA tonight.

The World of sports.
Okay tonight is gonna be an informational night. NFL first, after a week straight of labor talks the judge has ordered that mediation will be halted until May 16. With this new ruling the Lockout will continue and the longest Lockout in NFL history will occur. Now to college hoops Brandon Knight, Liggins, and Terrence Jones will all go to the NBA draft. Knight and Jones are both freshman. A suprise from Chapel Hill as Harrison Barnes will return for his sophmore year. This decision puts the North Carolina in a good spot to be a great team. Tonight the NBA playoffs continue with three games. The Nuggets and Thunder at 8, I got Denver. Grizzilies and Spurs at 8:30, I got the Spurs. Last game are the Hornets and the Lakers at 10:30, I got the Lakers in this one. Not much else going on more NBA action tomorrow and some baseball action.

To Girardi and Gasol
Tonights blog is dedicated to Joe Girardi and Pau Gasol. Last night the Yankees won 5-4 to take two out of three from the Texas Rangers. Good win for the Yanks. The part of the game I'm gonna grill is the 7th inning. The Yankees were up 4-3 and Joba came into pitch. Joba went on to give up a few its and the game was tied. Costing another decision for CC. After the game CC was asked if he was mad at his manger for being taken out and being the good guy he is of course he said no. But if I was Joe I would've avoided the controversy and either left CC in or brought in the more reliable Dave Robertson. Instead now CC is struggling with his confidence after pitching to the tune of an ERA under 2 and not yet getting a win in his first four starts. Let's put the Joba is the man crap behind us and make sure the ace is treated like an ace. Now onto my second topic and person Pau Gasol. Yesterday the Lakers lost 100-109 in game 1 to the Hornets. A good competitive game that I'm only gonna mention two plays from. With about 4 minutes to go the Hornets held a two point lead. Chris Paul dribbled up, went off the Aaron Gray screen into a defensive nigthtmare by being guarded by big man Pau Gasol. Paul broke him down and nailed a jumper of the big guy. On the next posession the same thing happened again. Four points occured with the wrong defenders on men. If I was Pau I would've went back and guarded my man and left Paul open at least then I wouldn't be the joke of the league. I mean Pau it's simple roll off the screen, hedge and then get back to your man. I mean right when it happened I thought immediatley to the Big East Tourney when Kemba put Gary McGee in a straight jacket to win the game. Pau you can't guard him so next time get back on Gray then I will be grilling Dereck Fisher instead. Thanks for reading send me questions. I'm Out!

The other matchups
Today is a quick blog to break down the other matchups in the NBA tomorrow. First up tomorrow we have the #8 Memphis Grizzilies taking on the top-seeded San Antonio Spurs. I got the Spurs in 6 games if Manu Ginobli is healthy. If he is not healthy then the Grizz will win the series in 5. The Grizz are a good young team that matches up well with the Spurs. The second game is the Hornets taking on the Lakers. With the absence of David West the Hornets will struggle to match up well down low and will get killed on the boards. This will give the Lakers the series in 5. The third game is the last East matchup of the Knicks and the Celtics. If the Knicks are gonna win in 7 they need to play some defense for longer than 12 minutes and keep Rondo from getting into the paint. Either way this game will go to 7 and probably finish with the ball in Carmello's hands for the win. The final matchup will be the most exciting. I got the Thunder over the Nuggets in 6. The Nuggets might overall be the better team but when it comes down to the final minute the Thunder know who's taking the shots and the Nuggets don't. the lack of a clutch prescence for Denver will be their Achilles heal. For those of you who have twitter. Follow Doscinco132 today for in game updates throughout.

The Matchups for Saturday
Tomorrow the longest playoffs start and I am gonna start by giving you my winners for the NBA first round. The first series to start is between The #8 Indiana Pacers and the top-seeded Chicago Bulls. I got the Bulls in 5 games. The Pacers will struggle to find an adequate defender to stop Derrick Rose and the overall team defense of the Bulls will shut down Danny Granger and the other 4 nobodys on the Pacers. Next up is the # 7 Philadelphia 76ers taking on the Big three of the #2 Miami Heat. The Heat will win in 6. The young players of the 76ers will force this one to 6 through great intensity. But when it comes down to it skill will override intensity and Wade will lead this team the second round. The next matchup will bring us our first 7 game series with the #5 Hawks knocking off the #4 Magic. The way this will happen is through team leadership by Joe Johnson and the shutting down of the Orlando Magic three point shooting game. With this combo the Hawks will march on. The final matchup of the day is out West with the #6 Trailblazers taking on the #3 Mavericks. I got the Trailblazers winning in 5. Portland is just too deep for the Mavs. The only way the Mavs will win is if Dirk scores 60 each game. I will break down the rest of the matchups tomorrow. Quick shout out to Nick Swisher who had a walk-off Sac fly in the Yankees 10th inning win over the Orioles. The Yankees start a three game series with the Rangers at the Stadium tonight with Ivan Nova on the bump. Thanks for reading and I'm Out!

Yankees O's and Shout Outs
Tonight the Yankees and the Orioles will take the field. Starting for the Yankees will be AJ Burnett who has two wins in two starts. He looks to keep his hot start going against the Os and young pitcher Chris Tillman and the upstart young Orioles. A player to watch for the Yankees is Nick Swisher. Swisher has struggled some swinging the bat. Look for him to feast on the young pitchers and make them throw strikes. A player to watch on the Yankees is Nick Markakis. He has always swung well versus the Yankees and with a short right-field his defense will be easier giving more energy to put the ball in the seats. This should be a good two game series. Full wrap-up tomorrow of this game. Now it is time for some shout outs. 1. Shout Out to Maya Moore for being drafted number 1 to the Minnesota Lynx of the WNBA with her skill set she should be a great success on the next level. 2. Shout Out to Matt Kenseth who won the Sprint Cup race at Texas ending a 70+ race winless streak. 3. Shout to ESPN Analyst, Merrill Hoge who had no quarterbacks drafted in the first round. I applaud this becasue none of these quarterbacks are truly ready to become the face of the franchise. The only one in college was Andrew Luck and he decided to stay. 4. Shout Out to Derrick Rose for holding down the #1 spot on sportscenters top plays after his break away double clutch reverse jam. Everyone repeat after me. MVP!MVP!MVP!MVP!MVP!........... 5. Shout out to Jimmer Fredette of BYU for bringing home the Wooden Award given out to the most outstanding player. He truly desreves this award. Check it out read it leave me comments. Tommorow I will begin to break down the NBA playoff matchups and the regular seaon finishes up tonight. Thanks. I'm Out!

NL Awards and What to watch for
Tonight I got the NL Awards and 5 statements about the week ahead and sports. The best team in the NL this week is the Philadelphia Phillies they are off to a 7-2 start behind power pitching and a potent offense. If this roster continues to perform as they are this team will be a favorite this year to go to the Fall Classic. The NL position player of the week is Left Fielder for the Brewers Ryan Braun. After the first week of ball he is batting .353 with an NL leading 4 homers and also 8 RBI's. A true front runner for the MVP award early with Pujols struggling. The next award for the best pitcher in NL goes to an unlikely player in Kevin Correia of the Pittsburgh Pirates. So far he is 2-0 in 3 starts with a 1.29 ERA allowing 2 ER and 12 hits. This great start has caused fantasy owners to scramble for this process. Those are my NL players of the week. I will now finish up with my 5 things to watch this week. 1. The Texas Rangers will continue their hot run as they have started off 8-1. 2. Pujols will begin to get out of his slump as the Cardinals face the D-Backs at the start of the week. 3. The Boston Celtics will rest starters to recharge them for the playoffs. 4. The NFL will begin mediation once again. 5. The NFL lockout and mediation will get more coverage than the NHL playoffs. Check out the blog tell me what you think. I'm Out!

Nice and Simple
Trying to still figure out the webcam so tonight is going to be a quick breakdown of the best and worst of the MLB. First up we go the best of the AL. Each Division I will give a best team, position player, and pitcher. The best team is the Baltimore Orioles. They are 5-1 in the Tough AL east. This weekend they take on 6-0 Texas and are currently up 5-0 in the 9th of game 1 of a double header. Since they are going to beat Texas I give them the edge. The best position player in the AL is Carlos Quentin the right-fielder for the Chicago White Sox. After the first week of play he has contributed to the White Sox offensive explosion with a .400 avg. 2 HR and 10 RBI. The pitcher of the week in the AL is Yankees CC Sabathia. Even though he has yet to record a decision, he has only given up 2 runs with 13 Ks over 13 innings this year. Look for him to be a front runner for the CY Young award come September. Those are my award winners for the AL I will hand out the NL awards tomorrow night along with 5 bold statements about the week ahead. Thanks for reading and leave me questions.

Basketball is over!
For those of us who watch real competitive sports I am sorry to inform you but your basketball season is over. Last night the NCAA tournament concluded with UCONN on top over Butler. But then again who couldn't of beaten Butler. Don't get me wrong they deserved to be there but who were the 5 stunt doubles on the court for the Bulldogs. Not their team. They looked like an over sized team of 6th graders. I mean in collegiate hoops you can't win shooting 18%. The only way Butler would've won is if Kemba was coaching and Jim Calhoun was taking his shots for him. I don't know I feel the tournament was good until that last game. The luster of the tourney was definitely tarnished by this joke of a "championship" game. Let's hope next year we get back to normal and have some 1's in the finals. As I said earlier basketball is over now. I know the NBA is still going on but I can't stand watching five games of 1 on 1 at once. Its entertaining but it is a joke. Now onto tonight's action. Notre Dame takes on Texas A&M for the women's basketball title. I got Notre Dame by 8. Finally the game I will be watching is Yankees vs Twins with CC on the mound. Look for Jeter to get out of his 2 for 14 slump. With a left starter for the Twins new Yankee Andruw Jones will make his debut. Hope you enjoy send me suggestions, comments and questions. Thanks I'm out.

The Blog is back at a great time
Hey guys the blog is back and it is fresh. Time to get to tonight's action. Of course it is college basketball championship night but there are two things I'm gonna discuss first. So the schedule for tonight is first a NASCAR update, second some Yankees baseball talk, and finally my thoughts about tonights game between Butler and UCONN. Yesterday, Kevin Harvick won the sprint cup race at Martinsville, Virginia. He struggled early before rallying late to pass Kyle Busch (3) and Dale Jr. (2) to win his second straight race. In these races he has led a total of 7 laps a NASCAR record. Now I will break down the first series of the Yankees season against the Detroit Tigers. In game one on Opening Day CC Sabathia took the mound against Justin Verlander. CC picked up the win 6-3 behind homers by Mark Texieria and Curtis Granderson. The player who really shined was new catcher Russell Martin. He had two hits and a stolen base. The Yankees went onto to win game 2 Saturday by a score of 9-4 behind a solid performance by AJ and another Tex homer. The winning streak ended when they lost yesterday in a 10-7 slug-fest with Phil Hughes struggling on the mound giving up two homers to Miguel Cabrera. The bright note for the Yankees was DH Jorge Posada hitting two homers. Tomorrow I will break down game 1 of the Twins and the Yankees that starts tonight at 7:05 with Scott Baker vs. Ivan Nova. My last topic for the night is the NCAA mens basketball championship game. Tonight at 9:23 8. Butler will take on 3. UCONN. There are a few keys to watch during the game. 1. If anyone can who will effectively defend Kemba Walker? I believe there are two possibilities of the first man to defend Walker. Either Ronald Nored or Vanzant. Some said maybe Mack will guard him but Brad Stevens is too smart to make that mistake. If Mack guards Walker Mack will run out of energy and his offense is necessary for Butlers success. Two more points. 2. Can enough players complement the leading scorers Mack and Walker? I think UCONN will have an easier job of this with the Lamb and Napier in the game. Both of these guys have scored more in the tournament than that of the Bulldogs role players. If Hann and Howard can get into double figures Butler will be in good shape. 3. Rebound and Freethrows. These two factors will decide the winners. I feel Oriaki will out rebound Howard so UCONN will win that stat, but Butler being a well determined and focused team that shoots well from the line will win if they have a lead late. I got Butler winning 70-64 behind a big game by Mack. Stevens is the man Howard will do something big late. Thanks for reading check me out tomorrow and leave me some questions. I'm Out!

Mixing It Up
Hey everybody. If you haven't heard this blog might shift into a sports video blog instead of a typed blog. I feel this will make it more entertaining for some of you. There will be a link on my facebook account when it gets going in correlation with a youtube channel. Now onto sports. Tomorrow the Sweet 16 will start and I got to say that the two teams to watch are Duke and UCONN. I expect these two teams to roll onto the Elite 8. These might be two of the best teams left in the tournament and either one of them is capable of winning a national championship. The other team I will be watching plays on Friday and it is Butler. After knocking off the Pittsburgh I now think that this team has the easiest road to the final four. If they don't make it I will be surprised. Sorry for not talking about much. I am still working on getting a webcam so I can do video blogs. Thanks for reading. I'm Out!

Lets Just Grill
Today is just gonna be a day to grill the whole sports world. In baseball news Barry Bonds perjury trial is going to be starting in the next few days he has once again changed his story and now says and I quote, " I didn't know they were steroids." So Barry what did you think they were skittles. If you just fess up to your crime you will only be in the slammer for 20 years. Own up to your wrongs and be a man. A couple games on tonight first in college hoops more women's teams are ready to clinch their Sweet 16 birth as UCONN and Baylor take the floor, and in the NBA Chicago looks to pick up their 10th win in their last 11 as they travel to Atlanta. While Kobe and the Lakers host Phoenix trying to extend a 4 game win streak. Now onto fan mail. First up Sam has some questions that I will answer. Sam, Joe is not making a weak roster the pitching rotation may struggle early on but if it gets to be June and one pitcher is struggling don't be surprised to see Andy "Favre" Pettite make a comeback and lead the Yankees to the postseason. My Aunt Joline comments about the Big East Tourney struggles. I agree with her when she says the Big East refs call less fouls and because of that teams struggle at tourney time transitioning to the different style of reffing. Good comment. Finally Keith I want you to leave a comment tonight about these weak players he is hoarding and I will go more in depth tomorrow. Now every Monday there will be a NASCAR update for all you lovers of the left turn. Thanks for reading leave comments. I'm Out!

Yesterday's action and things to come
Tonight I am going to not look forward to the Sweet Sixteen yet but I am going to make 5 bold statements regarding players, coaches, and games that occurred this week. I will countdown from 5 beginning with the least important of these statements. I'm not gonna elaborate unless someone makes a comment about one of them. I'm just gonna make my statements, talk some Yankees baseball, and end it. Here we go. 5. Shelvon Mack of Butler committed the dumbest foul in NCAA tournament history. 4. VCU has made the greatest impact of any team seeded below 10 in the tourney so far. 3. The Big East schedule is too rigorous and tired for teams to recover from come tournament time. 2. The most impressive team so far is one that is not a member of one of the Power 6 conferences. Who do you think it is? Finally the boldest statement of the weekend. 1. Scoop Jardine is still trying to figure out what over and back means. Those are my bold statements of the weekend of hoops. Comment on these and I will mention you in my next grill. Now onto some Yankees baseball opening day is soon approaching so roster spots are now being solidified. Yesterday Joe Girardi named A.J. Burnett as the number 2 starter putting Hughes at 3, Nova at 4, and Colon as the possible 5. A weaker rotation by far for the Yankees to start the year. With this weak rotation the bullpen and the bats will be very important. Thanks for reading leave comments, ask questions, and we will talk. I'm Out!

The Wild Tourney.
The tournament is officially nearing the climax as the weaker teams are being weeded out and teams are beginning to punch their tickets for the Sweet 16. My bracket currently on the ESPN Tournament Challenge is in the 58.8 pct and I have 260 points. Last night some good action occurred with most of the higher seeds advancing in convincing fashion. The game I watched was of course the Syracuse Orange game as they advance on to take on Big East opponent Marquette in the third round. The two shining lights for the Orange were senior big guy Rick Jackson putting up a season high 23 and consistent freshman CJ Fair complementing him with 13 points. Look for these two along with Brandon Triche to really shine in their next matchup. So far we have 2 Sweet 16 tickets punched by Kentucky and Florida. Kentucky advanced after beating West Virginia 71-63 behind freshman Brandon Knight and his 30 points. The game was close at halftime but the decisive moments came when Kentucky opened up the second half on an 11-0 run. The Wildcats will play either Ohio State or George Mason in Newark next week. The other game was Florida over UCLA 73-65 behind Walker's 21 points. They played well all game and got large contributions from their bench. They will play the winner of Gonzaga and BYU which starts around 7:55 tonight. That is my upset alert tonight. I got Gonzaga over BYU with the bigs of Gonzaga leading the way. Hope you enjoy this blog comment and there will be another post on Monday. I'm Out!

Crazy Day of Hoops
What a day of hoops. Before I talk about the tournament I want to give applause to the NCAA for getting the tournament on four different cable channels. Instead of watching regional coverage on CBS you can now watch all the games on four different channels. Thank you NCAA for the great work. The first game today was a big win by West Virginia over Clemson. The Tigers led early by ten before the Mountaineers went on a run to start the second half and put the Tigers away. Also the Butler Bulldogs starting another run at the Final four with a 60-58 win over Old Dominion on a buzzer beating layup by Matt Howard. Two more upsets occurred as Morehead State knocked off Louisville and Richmond knocked off Vanderbilt. Both of these games were won late. Pittsburgh and San Diego State advanced big and. The two other games were also buzzer beating wins making the higher seeds advance. Temple advanced as Fernandez hit a leaning jumper late and Kentucky beat Princeton on a late lay-up by freshman Brandon Knight. A great of hoops is half done. More talk about the action tomorrow night. A few more quick notes. Due to the NFL Lockout my boy Chad Ochocinco has decided to tryout for the MLS team the Sporting Kansas City. I say if anyone can do it Ocho can. In Chad we trust. Also last night in spring training the Yankees might have found another starter after Ivan Nova threw 6 perfect innings in a 10-0 drumming of the Orioles. One more note about the Yankees is that Joe Girardi has named Brett Gardner as the lead-off hitter for opening day putting Jeter in the 2 hole. Joe knows best. Thanks for reading, send questions, and enjoy the tournament. I'm Out!

Breakdown of the other two
Tonight I will breakdown the other two regions. First up the southwest region. Advancing to the third round or 32 I got Kansas,UNLV,Vandy,Louisville,USC,Purdue,Texas A&M and Notre Dame. Advancing to the sweet 16 I got Kansas over UNLV. Louisville over Vandy. Purdue over USC. Notre Dame. Moving onto the elite 8 I got Kansas over Louisville and Purdue upsetting Notre Dame setting up a matchup of #1 Kansas and #3 Purdue for the right to go to Houston. Now onto the rest of the Field. Winners in the Southeast region round 2 are Pittsburgh, Butler,Kansas state,Belmont,Gonzaga,BYU,Michigan state and Florida. Advancing to the sweet 16 is Pittsburgh over Butler, Kansas state over Belmont, Gonzaga over BYU, and Florida over Michigan state. Elite 8 I got Pitt advancing and cinderella Gonzaga playing to go to the final four. breakdown of the elite 8 and rest of tourney tomorrow. I'm out!

The East and West region
Tonight in my grill I'm going to take you to the Elite 8 in the East and West Regions. So get out your bracket sheets and listen up. First up the East region. Second round games I got Ohio State beating play in game winner big. Villanova regaining focus and knocking off George Mason. Clemson the 12 seed upsetting Big East joke West Virginia. Kentucky ending Princeton's hopes. Xavier close over Marquette. The Orange of the Cuse bringing it to Indiana State. Washington over Georgia and the Tar Heels over Long Island. Continuing to the third round the east. I got Ohio State three's putting the Buckeyes over Villanova. Kentucky guards will be too much for Clemson. Syracuse over Xavier in a close one. North Carolina showcasing Tyler Zeller down low over Washington. The sweet 16 of the East I got Ohio State winning on a late shot over Kentucky and the Syracuse zone shutting down the Tar Heels struggling perimeter game. So my East regional final will be a match-up of the #1 Ohio State Buckeyes taking on the #3 Syracuse Orange. The rest of this Bracket will be revealed on Wednesday. Now it's on to the West Region. I will list second round winners before a deeper analysis. #1 Duke over Hampton. #9 Tennessee over Michigan. #5 Arizona over 12 Memphis. #4 Texas over Oakland. #11 Missouri upsetting Cincinnati. #3 UCONN over Bucknell. #10 Penn State upsetting Temple and #2 San Diego State over North Colorado. In the third round I have Duke over Tennessee in a physical battle. Texas behind the 3 ball over Arizona. Kemba Walker taking over and sending the Huskies to the Sweet 16 and San Diego State taking care of Penn State and Talor Battle. The winners in the Sweet 16 are #1 Duke and #3 UCONN because of 1 word EXPERIENCE. Both of these programs have seasoned veterans and young guys that have played through tough conference seasons. So far I have Ohio State and Syracuse out of the East and Duke and UCONN out of the West. Tomorrow I will add 4 more teams to this list as I breakdown the other two regions before naming a champion on Wednesday night before the real tournament starts. I mean come on none of those eight teams playing tomorrow are gonna win the whole thing anyhow. Thanks for reading and send me your tourney questions. I'm Out!

It's the most wondeful time of the Year!
Selection Sunday is here and the Brackets are set. After reviewing the Brackets and consulting with my fellow Bracketologists it's time for the Bracket awards. First up we have the biggest snub of the tournament. This award is given to the Colorado Buffaloes. They knocked of big time teams and played well in the Big 12 Tourney and they don't get a shot in the tourney. Next up we will choose the Toughest Region in the Tourney. The Toughest Region Award goes to the East Region. This region contains Ohio State league and conference tournament champ of the Big Ten. North Carolina league champ and conference tournament runner-up. Syracuse who has played well all year and Kentucky who won the SEC tournament. Look for the champ to come out of this region. Next we have the biggest Cinderella team. The biggest Cinderella I see is Gonzaga the 11 seed in the Southeast region. I could see this team making a run at the Sweet 16 by knocking off St. Johns who has lost D.J. Kennedy and BYU who has lost Davies their big guy. We have two awards left. The first is the most likely to fail. This award goes to Pittsburgh even though they play in the easiest region I don't see this team making the Final 4. Watch a Round 3 match-up against Butler for the Panthers to fall. The final award is the overrated team. The most overrated team is Florida the 2 seed in the Southeast region. How is this team a 2 they just lost to Kentucky and they are a 4 I know it was tough to pick since 4 more teams got in but switch Florida and Kentucky not that I'm saying either one of these teams is a 2. Your telling me Florida is the 8th best team in the country. Yeah right Florida is a joke. Whatever tomorrow night I will break down the East and West regions. So check it out and tell me what you think. I'm Out!

Morning Blogging
Sorry for keeping you all waiting last night but I was too busy mourning the loss of my Orange. Well I just want to say that the Orange played well as a team down the stretch. Scoop Jardine's two late threes were big in the Orange's success. In overtime the Orange missed many free throws and Kemba Walker continued his clutch antics leading the Huskies to a win. Later the Louisville beat Notre Dame in Overtime. That sets up a good match up of the Huskies and the Cardinals tonight. I got Kemba continuing his run and Louisville struggling to stop Walker will not play well in the second half. The NFL has locked out the players officially and this has started the players suing the owners the reason for this is to get the ball rolling and see what happens. That is all I'm going to discuss but tomorrow night tune in for a full breakdown of all tournament brackets. Thanks everybody keep reading and send me some questions regarding tournament teams or the NBA.

Tournament Talk!
Hey everybody sorry for the lack of blogging last night. I was busy taking my talents to DeRuyter and participating in a senior all-star game. I had 10 points and some sweet assists in a 102-72 drumming of our opponents. But enough of that now its time for an update of my top eight seeds. With Pittsburgh losing today they have now dropped out of my 1 seeds. My new 1 seeds are Ohio State, Kansas, North Carolina, Notre Dame. My 2 seeds are Duke, BYU, Texas, and Pittsburgh. The reason Pittsburgh has dropped is because today Kemba Walker man handled the Panthers to the tune of 24 points and some the basketball lodged in Gary McGee's eye. Sorry Gary at least try to block him. Kemba Walker is so clutch and I don't know why Dixon wouldn't run two guys at him. I mean come on you might get a block and if you were lucky enough to get the terrible three refs from the Rutgers St. Johns game a foul wouldn't be called and then you could step out of bounds then run to the hoop and lay it in. Last discussion is about Syracuse. They knocked off St. Johns behind some big performances. Fab Melo who I said was a key to the Orange success scored 12 points hitting big layups late. Triche added a good performance along with Jackson. That is why this team is advancing. Look for Syracuse to advance to the final between Kris Joseph stepping up and the zone once again shutting down Kemba Walker who has scored a lot in the Tournament so far will struggle against the zone. Keep reading and send questions. Tomorrow night Syracuse plays at 7 and I will be on facebook leading a discussion during the game on any thing Syracuse hope you all join in. I'm Out!

Conference Tourneys and other fun
Tonight is the first where the big conference tournaments start off or mainly just the biggest one the Big East Tourney. Today the tourney saw a struggling Huskies team roll over the laughing stalk of the conference DePaul. The second game was an overtime thriller between Seton Hall and Rutgers. The battle for New Jersey was a heated one. The game was sent to overtime after Jeremy Hazell hit a ridiculous three to tie it up. The Rutgers when on a late run and won it 76-70. Right now in the Big East the Villanova Wildcats are up on South Florida in the second half and Marquette and Providence play late. My bad Larkin I told you that game was at 7. Now onto another story in the baseball world. A report says that pitcher Zack Grienke has a broken rib and will be out for a few weeks. Some of my viewers are probably wondering why do we care about this broken rib. The reason I bring this up is that the reason he broke his rib is because he was playing in a pick-up basketball game. I mean come on man you just got acquired by this team for a good deal of prospects and money. They signed you to even more money and you pull this act. You were put on this earth to be a good citizen and to stand on a hill and through a small sphere 60ft. 6 in. at 95 mph past other guys that think they can hit it. You are not supposed to being ball with old players, senators or coaches. I mean even if you said you were playing with President Obama I wouldn't believe you because he would know that playing was a bad idea. Please Obama make a law that if any athletes get injured playing another sport recreationally that they will be charged with a crime. I mean the only other guy to pull this crap was Aaron Boone. The only difference was that Boone only had one good hit in his whole life. Ha Ha Tim Wakefield nice knuckleball. If I was the Brewers GM I would fine him or give him a pay cut. Your a joke Greinke and so are your basketball skills. Keep reading send mail. More Big East talk tomorrow. I'm Out!

Less than a week!
We are now in the midst of one of the great weeks in college basketball. Conference Tournament week. By the end of this week we all will have a good idea of who will be the top teams come tournament time. Ohio State has solidified themselves as the top team in the country and the rest of the polls look the same except Notre Dame moved up while BYU and Duke fell. Others team making a big move are Syracuse #11 and North Carolina #6. That's a look at the polls for this week. Before my Big East Tourney Preview for tomorrow. I would like to play Bracketologist for a minute and give you all my top 8 teams. These are my 1 and 2 seeds for the tournament. My 1 seeds are Ohio State, Kansas, Pittsburgh, and North Carolina. My 2 seeds are Duke, BYU, Notre Dame, and Texas. If any of these teams lose I will update this bit. Now onto the Big East Tourney. The greatest conference tournament around. A 5 day 16 team tournament in Madison Square Garden how does it get any better. Tomorrow we see four games starting off with UCONN and Depaul. UCONN will win but Depaul will play better. At 2pm we will see two New Jersey teams face off as Seton Hall plays Rutgers. Look for Jeremy Hazell to put up big numbers in a Hall win. In primetime we start off with struggling Villanova taking on South Florida. Nova will win in a close game. The final game of the night showcases Marshon Brooks Big East leading scorer (24.8ppg) and the Providence Friars facing off with the Marquette Golden Eagles. I see this as a must win for the the Eagles to solidify a big dance berth. I think Brooks will shine in the spotlight and take over. That's a look at tomorrows action. Four tickets being punched tonight for the tourney I got Old Dominion over VCU, Iona over St. Peters, Charleston over Wofford, and Gonzaga over St. Mary's. Now for the final bit tonight fan mail. Keith asks what I think of how the NBA deals with technicals. Keith, I think their policy is reasonable but there are two changes that need to be made. If you are only gonna give 16 until a suspension you need to tell the refs to chill with the T's. Dwight Howard who is missing action tonight has gotten numerous T's for reacting to his own actions not towards a ref. Refs in the NBA think they are more important than the players. Come on Refs the only way you guys get on Sportscenter is for being complete idiots. Get the right refs at the good games. The other rule thats need to be changed is that when you are suspended you can't not even show up at the arena. Come on Stern if your gonna suspend the guy make him dress up nice, sit there by the coach, and be part of the team even if he can't play. Enough on that. Keep sending your questions and Reading. I'm Out!

The weekend that was
What a weekend in the sports world. We saw many intriguing things that we can discuss. First off the Duke and North Carolina game. UNC upset Duke at home in convincing fashion to clinch the ACC Title. This game was a great one to watch. You got to see upstart PG Marshall running the show for the Tar Heels. But if anyone was truly paying attention many of us knew the game was over long before the final buzzer went off. This was seen through the poor 3 point shooting by the Blue Devils. The Blue Devils minus Seth Curry were 0-16 from deep. With Curry they shot 6-27. That is a measly 22%. In all of their losses this year they have shot under 30% from behind the arc. Message to Coach K on this topic. I'm only saying it once and then I will never mention it again. This is a bold statement but its true. Coach K if you didn't preach the 3-pointer as much as you do you would NEVER LOSE A GAME. That's all I am saying no more grilling Coach K. To finish up yesterday just want to give a shout out to Danica Patrick on her 4th place finish in the Vegas Race. Setting the mark as the best finish by a female driver in NASCAR history. Now to today the game every one will be talking about Bulls vs. Heat. This game came down to the last seconds and once again the Bulls win over the Heat and LeBron James making poor decisions for the Heat late. For anyone that didn't watch the game LeBron James missed a left handed forced layup late and the Heat lost by one. I don't know what LeBron was thinking but he was never gonna make that layup against three Bulls in the lane. I know some of you are blaming Wade too for missing the jumper at the buzzer. Come on the guy scrapped for the ball, waltzed out of bounds, luckily got a no call and then threw up an unset fade away at the buzzer. He wouldn't of even had to force that shot if LeBron wasn't playing streetball instead of looking for open teammates. LeBron is just a straight Ball Hog and will never play well with other good guys enough to win a championship. Enough on him time to answer a few fan questions. Mike asks if Jeter will return from his subpar year and hit like he has before? Mike, Jeter will rebound some this year as he will see better pitches wih possibly Nick Swisher batting behind him. I do not think he will have a .330 year but he will have a .310-.315 year. The key is to work the count and go the other way like he always has. Mike also asks about Fab Melo's break out day yesterday. I wasn't surprised by this performance but I feel that he needs to keep putting up similar numbers to make Syracuse good and for added confidence for next year. Thanks for reading ask questions this week about Bubble teams, NBA action, or anything else. This week is conference tournament week so there will be extended coverage on those games. Thanks and I hope you enjoy this great week of sports.

TGIF!
It's finally Friday. The first bit for today is an update on the Collective Bargaining Agreement in the NFL. After a long day of negotiating and discussing new deals the union and the owners have decided to extend this saga another week. I don't completely understand why they are drawing this out for so long. The NFL is still the most popular sport in the country so I don't understand why Godell is pulling this publicity stunt. I mean come on Roger we all know that your not gonna get your way in extending the seaon longer or cutting salaries of trainers. Just end the drama fest and start getting ready to the make the announcement for the first pick in the draft. The draft should be your true focus now not some labor strike that will never happen. This is a media filled world and right now your acting like a bad guy for prolonging this array of fake threats. Get it together your the commissioner of the NFL not the president or Charlie Sheen. Cut the stunt and lets play ball. Before I discuss the games going on the tonight I want to reflect on an eye opener from last night. Last night the Orlando Magic upheld my upset alert by rallying from down 24 in the third quarter to winning the game by 3 over the Miami Heat and their Little 3. Talk today around the sports world was why can't Miami close out close games? Some people pulled out dumb answers like the players are bad closers, the teams the play are clutch, and lastly that they are still lacking team chemistry. Okay if they still can't figure each other out after 3/4 of a season they will never be good. But I think their struggles boil down to one sentence. Lebron if your not gonna make the shot don't take it. I mean come on the two new additions Bosh and James are the only ones that take the big shots. If I was Dwayne Wade I would just tell Erik Spolestra to take me out because there's no way LeBron BallHog James is not passing the rock. If Dwayne Wade starts getting the rock late start seeing the Heat play better. Now onto tonights action. I will not be doing any upset alert as there are no upsets that I want to pick sorry. A few games I will pick are the Bulls over the Magic at home. Thunder over the Hawks in Atlanta. San Antonio over Miami in Texas. Those are all the picks I am making. Please send more questions and keep reading.

NFL is it over
The NFL is now approaching the 11th hour with their collective bargaining agreement. Well actually they are at the 10th hour I guess as they have decided to give owners and the players union a 24 hour extension. Sources say that they are close to deciding on a deal and that it should be made by tomorrow night. What if the deal is never met. Lets zoom ahead a few months and think of a world without the NFL. I mean what would we all do without the NFL. Instead of doing your fantasy football draft in August you will be sitting in your room watching lame soccer games from Europe or some show on MTV that no one actually cares about. Also without the NFL ESPN will run out of material on the possibilities of Brett Favre making another come back with a terrible team. Watch Dallas Brett might want to come play for you. Don't worry he won't show up until all the training camp drills are over but he will still be the starter. The final thing about a world without the NFL is that without it what will you watch on Sundays and on holidays. I mean on Sundays there is always old wanna be athletes rolling balls down lanes trying to knock over all the pins. Don't get me wrong I love to bowl but honestly who actually would want to watch that. On holidays you can watch all the specials like the Macy's Parade on Thanksgiving and on Christmas you can't sit around the tree and watch old movies that your parents love and that you love to shut off. Basically the whole point of this bit is that without the NFL life will suck. So get it together Commissioner or you will lose a lot of loyal fans. Now onto tonights game and I am gonna start with my upset alert. I know what you are thinking the last two nights I have got my upset alert but with every new day comes a new opportunity. Tonight I'm getting back on the good side and picking the Orlando Magic over the Miami Heat in Miami. Couple other games tonight I got St. Johns locking up their double bye tonight over Seton Hall and Denver will go to 5-1 after the departure of Anthony against the Jazz. Those are my picks for the night. Now its time for my one fan mail tonight. Frequent viewer Sam wants me talk about Trevor Bayne Daytona 500 champ. Don't get me wrong his superbowl win gave me chicken skin but he has a lot of growing to do. He will still race a shortened schedule in the Sprint Cup and will go for the Nationwide title. I feel the key for his success this year is that he needs to stay calm like he has and not try to do too much. If he can do these two things this season will be a lot easier for him. Thanks for following and keep sending questions. I'm Out!

Hump Day Blogging
Happy hump day to all. I am glad to be sitting here blogging tonight for all of your enjoyment. I am gonna start off by discussing some things that occurred in college basketball last night. First I would like to congratulate Purdue on a big rally in a win on senior night. They got off to a slow start on senior night but rallied late to win over a quality opponent in Illinois. The point of slow starts brings me to a question I would like you all to write on the wall or comment on. Do you my followers feel that senior night is extremely emotional and can cause teams to come out flat? The only reason I want your thoughts is because I heard Digger Phelps say that teams usually come out flat on senior night and I want to know if anyone else feels this way because I just think he is making excuses for teams that have struggled all year in the first half. I mean when I say the words Villanova vs. Notre Dame I bet many of you aren't thinking about a team that came out flat on Monday night but whatever Phelps when those First Half Zombies start playing good teams in the Big Dance they won't even want to come out on the court for the second half. The other college game I would like to comment on is Ohio State vs. Penn State. I know I had the Buckeyes as an 8 point favorite. I forgot two things though John Diebler can shoot the three and in order for Penn State to be good Taylor Battle the point guard should actually try showing up and doing something. Sorry Penn State YOU GOT ROCKED! Now onto tonights action I am gonna start out with my upset alert. I got Florida State over North Carolina in Florida. Sorry Roy Williams Seminoles D is nasty and Harrison Barnes is not ready to lead this team to the Final Four like some ESPN personnel think. Other games I got Kansas over Texas A&M, Duke over Clemson, and in the NBA with Chauncey Billups out for the Knicks I got the Hornets over the Knicks at MSG. Sorry Tony Douglas your good but not as good as Mr. Big Shot. Now for my last section tonight I am going to go to fan mail. 1. My first non-faceboook friend follower named Windyridge asks who I fancy for player of the year in college hoops. Some are probably thinking Jimmer Fredette he takes to many shots, Kemba Walker you might say where is Kemba Walker I say. My player of the year is James Sullinger from Ohio State his team is #1 in the country and he has been the most consistent player in hoops. The other two mails I received go hand in hand. Sam asked me whats going on in Spring Training and Keith sent me a link to a story about Andy Sonnanstine the Rays pitcher. To both of these members I would like to say yes Keith I saw it. For those of you who don't know yesterday Sonnanstine faced 11 batters giving up 5 homers. Keith are we really surprised this is a guy that throws 86 with a changeup that goes 80. He is washed up and its time for him to give up and go sell hot dogs at the concession stand. This guy is gonna be .500 for the Double A club and I am sorry for that team that he pitches on. Sam spring training baseball is a joke. I think it is worse then NBA and NFL preseason put together. In spring training the normal big leaguers will take one at bat and throw two innings. After their "long day" they shower and leave the park before fans even sing Take Me Out to the Ball Game. If I was the MLB I wouldn't even televise this circus act. Thanks for the mail and tomorrow night we will discuss the NFL Labor agreement as it expires tomorrow night at 11:59. I'm Out!!

Why are there no big headlines!!!!!!
Hey guys I'm back for another night of sports chat with all of my beloved fans. Due to the lack of of intriguing headlines tonights blog is gonna be a little different. For starters I just want to welcome everyone to the month of March. March is a very important month of sports for a few reasons. If you are a sports fan that is into the PGA first off I am sorry you never got into a real sport and secondly the first big time tournaments of the calendar year take place. Also if you are a NASCAR fan the races start to pick-up and so do the tempers. But all of these events play second fiddle to the real reason to watch sports in March. MARCH MADNESS BABY! For those of you that love college basketball think about this before this month is over you will see your team play through a conference tournament and then if you follow a team that is actually good,(Sorry to any Seton Hall, Albany or Colgate fans) you can watch your team play in the NCAA Tournament. The greatest tournament in all of sports. That is why it is good to be a sports fan in the month of March. Now to todays action and news. The Jets have made the decision to keep LaDainian Tomlinson for the remainder of his contract. This comes after a very productive season in which he ran for 916 yards and 6 touchdowns. The Big Apple has rejuvenated his career. In the NBA the Miami Heat made a roster move today cutting starting point guard Carlos Arroyo with reports saying the team will buyout Mike Bibby's contract from the Washington Wizards making him the starting point guard. Now onto the games tonight. One game I am watching is college basketball between Illinois and #6 Purdue. This game was a blow out earl but now stands with the Fighting Illini up by 1 after a 12-0 run by Purdue with four minutes left in the 1st half. I hope to see Purdue rally and win this game. With the late game being #1 Ohio State vs. Penn State I have Ohio State winning that game by 8 on the road at Happy Valley. The team I am putting on upset alert tonight is in the NBA with the Philadelphia 76er's knocking of Dirk and the Mavericks. With no fan mail tonight I have decided to close this post out with three shout outs. 1. The first shout out is to Tom Kopko of the Notre Dame fighting Irish. He is a walk on senior for the basketball team and last night on senior night he got in the game late, took an outlet pass, and laid it in on the other end to bring the crowd to its feet. 2. I would like to give a shout out to former NASCAR racer Morgan Shepherd who is 69 years old and still is in shape enough to chase down shoplifters at a Wal-Mart near his hometown. 3. I would finally like to shout out to a kid in my gym class, Nate Stark, who in one 5 minute game of floor hockey today scored 8 goals on Yours Truly and fist pumped liked Snookie and the Situation after each goal. Thank you for reading and send more questions for future posts.

The New Polls are Out
Today being Monday means that the AP has put out their new polls for college basketball. I know everyone has probably already seen them but I still feel as an avid fan it is my duty to comment on them and grill some of these voters. There are two points I am going to discuss tonight. 1. I would like to applaud the voters on two teams that saw their stock rise this week. The first team Ohio State winners of two games this week by favorable margins have played much better than Kansas and truly deserve to be the top team in the country. The other team that jumped in the polls St. Johns moved from 25th to 15th and has now set themselves up to possibly receive a double bye in the Gauntlet of the Big East. 2. I would like to ask a fair question to the voters of the poll. HOW THE HECK DOES PITTSBURGH LOSE A GAME AND MOVE UP ONE SPOT IN THE RANKINGS? That kind of ludicrous action doesn't even happen in the defective BCS College Football System. Even if they win this week I would drop them in the poll just to make up for such a huge mistake. Next tonight I will travel around the sports world to inform you of big games tonight and who I feel will come out as the victor. One game going on right now between Villanova and Notre Dame is pretty much over as the Fighting Irish hold a 44-21 margin over the Wildcats at home. If no one else wants to I will call the Wildcats bus driver and have him start the bus. Being a Monday there are not too many games going on but I also have put the #8 Longhorns on upset alert as they travel to unranked Kansas State. All the NBA has tonight is a couple of traded players taking their talents back home to show them off on their new sub-par teams. Finally a few posts have been made on the new Facebook group so I will now address these questions. 1. Keith Miller: What do you think about the Eastern Conference in the NBA, and what about the Big East Basketball, how many teams will get in? Well Keith I feel that the Eastern Conference is the stronger conference and I am looking at a Heat vs. Bulls conference finals with the Bulls moving to the NBA finals in 6 games. Regarding the Big East Keith we all know it is a monster and I feel that 10-12 teams will get into the Big Dance. 2. The last question I will answer is the long one about Syracuse bust freshmen Fab Melo. Mike I feel Jim Boeheim is starting to figure out the best way to use Fab and feels that he is not gonna put up big points but could be a big rebounder and defender. So I am gonna say yes he will be some kinda of force in the postseason. Don't get me wrong he is not gonna be and earthquake but merely and aftershock. If his presence is felt the Orange will be a tough team to beat come tournament time. Thank you for your support and there will be another post tomorrow.

My First Blog
Hey everyone I have decided to start writing a sport's blog for people to access and read. This blog will be updated every few days about major issues regarding sports and athletes around the world. I hope all that read will comment and encourage this blog. The first discussion this week will be regarding a humorous end to a game I watched today. If anyone watched it the game I am referring to was the college basketball game between Pittsburgh and Louisville. After a scuffle under the basket late in overtime a long outlet pass resulting in a dunk for a Louisville player put the Cardinals up 64-59 with .5 seconds left, the game was in the bag for the Cardinals until one of the male cheerleaders decided to celebrate early by running onto the court and heaving the ball high into the sky. The team was given a technical follow. After two made free throws for Pittsburgh, the cheerleader was saved after a shot at the buzzer was missed wide left resulting in a major upset for Louisville over the 4th ranked team in the country in stunning fashion. One more thing before I go is that I would like to give a shout out to my boy Jeff Gordon who won the Sprint Cup Race at Phoenix leading 138 laps and snapping his 66 race winless streak. The drive for his 5th Championship is alive. Thank you for reading and if anyone has any topics they wish for me to discuss either leave them as a comment or if you are one of my facebook readers comment in some way on there.
